About Us
Palmer Power Corporation is located in Houston Texas. Our primary business is marine engine and parts warehouse distribution for the diesel and gasoline recreational and commercial markets.Originally started by Gary Palmer in the early 1970’s as American Marine Service Corp. in Dallas, Texas, our mission was to stock and sell marine power and propulsion products to the recreational trade on a nationwide scale. In 1977, our name was changed to Palmer Power Corporation.
In 1978, the company was moved to our current address at 6451 Rupley Circle, Houston, Texas. In 1987 Carlos Ramirez and another employee purchased the company from Gary Palmer. In 1995 Carlos Ramirez became the sole owner.
Over the years we have adjusted to market demands and have spread our product lines into the recreational outboard and heavy and light duty commercial diesel engine markets. We also carry peripheral components such as steering, instrumentation, and more recently, newer technologies in electronic control systems. We stock large inventories of original equipment and after market repair, service, and maintenance parts, as well as remanufactured motors and accessories. We offer quick turn around on special order parts.
With a trained parts and service staff that boasts over 100 years of combined marine experience, we offer over the phone, fax or email technical assistance and parts “look up” help as well as same day shipping. Our goal is to help our customers obtain the correct repair parts for any given job on the first call. If we don’t sell or service it, we can tell you where to find it.
We also operate a full service repair shop for our wholesale, retail, and commercial customers for most marine diesel and gasoline propulsion systems.
